About the Photographer

Hi, I'm Julia and I am a high school photographer on Long Island.  I am very interested in light, reflections and shadows and I love taking photographs at the beach.  I was tired of going to the same beaches over and over again so I set out to discover the unsung beauty of the Long Island shore.  Long Island has 118 miles of coastline and yet I had only been to a handful of well known beaches in Nassau County and in the Hamptons.  What I found astounded me.  From the rocky beaches of the North Shore to the red sand beaches on the North Fork, Long Island really has it all. I hope my photographs will inspire you to explore the beauty of Long Island.
